How can I assign students to read an article from The New York Times without requiring them to register?

Is it possible to obtain a permalink to a New York Times article so that it would be available to students without requiring them to subscribe to NYT? Or can they access it with a UW login?

  1. Click the arrow icon ➦ to open the "Share options menu.
  2. Click the "Copy Link" option.
  3. Paste the link into your course management system or message.

NOTE: Students not logged in with their UW New York Times accounts are subject to limited free articles. Please encourage students to activate their UW Times accounts--especially if you plan to use the Times routinely in your class.
